Sarajevo International Airport

Sarajevo International Airport has recorded best month in
history in terms of passengers, cargo and aircraft operation. This increase is putting
airport back on the track to achieve planed 800.000 passengers for the year. During
July airport handled 595.140 kg of commercial cargo, an increase of 362%, such
huge increase comes from two weekly cargo flights operated by Turkish Airlines Cargo
with an Airbus 330 freighter aircraft, transporting fresh meat to Turkey.
During month of August Sarajevo International Airport is expected to handle
close to 100.000. Airport management is in talks with Qatar Airways, and if
everything goes as planned, we can see Doha-Sarajevo flights with the beginning of
summer flight scheduled of 2016.
